I4F1 satellite outage FBB unavailable in certain area

We would like to share the current situation confirmed with Inmarsat regarding the long-lasting issue with I4F1 satellite below.

・The cause of the issue is satellite power source, and this issue is ongoing.

・Due to lack of power, complete recovery of service is difficult.

・FBB is still not available in certain regions, especially in Western side of coverage.

・In the Western side of coverage, where it is overlapped with India

((I4F2/MEAS) satellite, it is possible to resume connection by manually selecting satellite on FBB terminal.

　Guide for manually selecting satellite for each FBB terminal is as per attached.

・In some JRC FBB terminal, we confirmed that it is not possible to select satellite due to old firmware version.

　Attached is list of firmware version that supports this function.

　If the firmware is not supporting manual satellite selection, you can update the firmware. Please contact your JRC sales/support for the detail.

There are no prospects of complete recovery of I4F1 satellite, and it is planned have other satellite cover the loss.
