00:00:00 – Intro
00:08:02 – I. State of play
00:19:42 – II. Live Demo: How to report emissions in THETIS-MRV: ship-level and company-level emissions reports
01:00:15 – III. Live Demo: How to ensure compliance in the Union Registry
01:20:02 – IV. Questions and Answers
We would like to highlight below.
- Since the Union Registry and Thetis-MRV are not linked, the company must report the verified Company Emission Report on Thetis-MRV (status on Thetis-MRV should be 'Submitted to Commission') and manually enter and report the EUA on the Union Registry.
- Since CO2 is the only GHG subject to EUA amortization in 2024, enter the EUA amount for CO2 only as an integer.
- The verifier displayed on the Union Registry and the verifier under the EU-MRV regulations are different. Whether a verifier is required on the Union Registry depends on the Administering Authority, so please check with them for details.
(From Q&A session)
Q: Can we make an exception and extend the deadlines for various reports and surrenders in the first year?
A: There are no plans for this, so please prepare in time for the various deadlines.
Q: Among the ships registered in MY FLEET on Thetis-MRV, there is a ship that did not call at EU ports in 2024. How should we prepare the emission report for this ship?
A: If we leave a ship that does not call at EU ports in MY FLEET, the Administering Authority may request us to submit a Zero Emission Report. We recommend that you delete the ship from MY FLEET for now.
Q: If we release a ship from Thetis-MRV after it has been sold, will this affect the subsequent submission of the Company Emission Report on Thetis-MRV?
A: If a Partial Emission Report has been submitted to the Commission, you can release the ship. There will be no impact on the Company Emission Report.
