a) SOLAS
- IMSBC Code Amendment (1 Dec. 2023 ~/ Administrations may apply it on a voluntary basis as from 1 January 2023.)
- 2011 ESP Code Amendment (1 January 2023~)
b) MARPOL
- CII (1 January 2023~)
- EEXI (New Ship:2023年1月1日~、Existing Ship : the first annual, intermediate or renewal survey of IAPP Certificate on or after 1 January 2023 )
- Sampling of fuel oil used on board (New Ship:1 April 2022~、Existing Ship:the first renewal survey on or after 1 April 2023)。Please also refer this article.
c) AFS
- Ban of use of anti-fouling paints that contains cybutryne ( 1 January 2023~)

[2] Local Regulation
a) California State 'At Berth Regulation'(CARB)
- Emissions of hazardous substances will be regulated for container ships, refrigeration vessels and cruise ships berthed in California ports beginning January 1, 2023. (This is one of the regulation which is known as 'CARB'). Please refer below links.

b) Panama Canal
- Every year on 1st January, regulations for transiting Panama Canal changes and it might require ship's modification. You can check the regulation changes by reviewing 'Notice to Shipping' after 1 January 2023.
- As we have introduced it with this article, installation of a positioning system will be required for ships which breadth is 109feet or more, after 1 October 2023.

[3]Others
As we have introduced it this article, Shipping Industry noticed that they decided to remove HRA at Indian Ocean after 1 January 2023.
