【Port】 Krishnapatnam, India, additional charge for coal vessels due to delay of commencement cargo operation and/or delay of departure - 14 March. 2023

Adani Ports and Logistics has issued instructions for coal vessels at Krishnapatnam Port, in a bid to improve turnaround times and they request port agents to cooperate efficient port operation.

Coal cargo vessels accommodated at N6, N7 and N8 should be ready for cargo discharge operations within one hour from the time of gangway down, and be ready for sailing within one hour from the time of cargo completion. Failing to do so will result in layup berth hire charges being applicable.

To prevent unnecessary claim from charterers to owners, we recommend Master to record the description of delay and issue letter of protest with agent or terminal's sign in case any delay occur.
