There are some regulations/rules which to be effected in 2024. Hereby we introduce some of these regulations/rules which may affect shipowners.

a) SOLAS
- IMDG Code Amendment (1 Jan. 2024 ~/ Administrations may apply it on a voluntary basis as from 1 January 2023.)
- Amendments to SOLAS regulation II-1/3-8 relevant to mooring equipment for existing ship(1 Jan. 2024~)
b) MARPOL
- Amendments to Bunker Delivery Note, flashpoint information shall be included(1 May 2024~)
- Information to be submitted under IMO DCS (1 May 2024~)
With the introduction of CII regulations, amendments to Appendix IX of MARPOL Annex VI
were adopted to add CII related information to reporting items from Flag/RO to IMO DCS
c) MLC
- Amendment of 2022 (23 Dec. 2024~)
This amendment include lesson learnt from Covid-19 pandemic and include internet access for seafarers
[2] Local Regulation
a) EU-ETS will be implemented to marine industry
b) Panama Canal
- Every year on 1st January, regulations for transiting Panama Canal changes and it might require ship's modification. You can check the regulation changes by reviewing 'Notice to Shipping' after 1 January 2024.
