As we introduced this article, FuelEU Maritime will be applied for ships which call EU port from 1 Jan. 2025.
In connection with this, the FuelEU Maritime monitoring plan must be submitted to Verifier by August 31, 2024, and a draft of the implementing rules for the monitoring plan has been published on the EC website. The draft is currently open for feedback comments, which will be taken into consideration by the European Commission.
The draft regulation also states that a platform called FuelEU Database will be set up in the future and that FuelEU Maritime's monitoring plan will be submitted electronically to Verifier through this platform.
