AI Banto Newsletter No.3 'Information Sources checkbox'

Hello, and thank you for always using AI BANTO! In the third issue of our newsletter, we will guide you on ‘Information Sources’ to get the most appropriate answers from BANTO-san.

Issue 3: ‘Information Sources checkbox’ Did you know that there is a checkbox just above the field where you enter your questions in the chat window? By using this checkbox effectively, you can get the answers you want more easily.

This checkbox allows you to select the information sources that the AI BANTO will use to generate responses. For example, if you check only ‘CP/Contract’ and ask a question, the AI BANTO will refer only to the CP and contract information stored in your storage to create the answer.

If you check only ‘P&I Information’ and ask a question, the AI BANTO will create the answer based on the P&I information stored by our support team for all customers, plus the P&I information you have stored yourself.

If you check all the boxes, the AI BANTO will refer to all the information to create the answer.

While the AI BANTO tries to understand your question’s intent as much as possible, it can sometimes be influenced by the source with the most information. For example, if you want to know something general and check all the boxes, the answer might be based on specific ship CPs, which could lead to a mismatch with the information you want to know.

So, how about using it like this?

1. When the source of the information you want to know is clear → Check only that box.  Example: “It seems like there was a P&I circular about handling XX cargo…” → Check only the ‘P&I Information’ box.

2. When you want to know something general rather than a specific case → Uncheck the boxes for ‘CP/Contract’ and ‘Vessel Certificate/Drawing’.  Example: “I want to know the results of MEPC80!” → Uncheck the boxes for ‘CP/Contract’ and ‘Vessel Certificate/Drawing’.
