Please find below.

a) SOLAS Convention 1974

• Amendments to IMDG Code（1 June 2022）

b) MARPOL Annex Ⅵ

• Strengthening of EEDI Phase 3 requirements, Reference line for very large bulk carriers （for a ship contracted for construction on or after 1 April 2022）
• Sampling of fuel oil onboard（new ship: a ship constructed on or after 1 April 2022 / other ships : by first IAPP renewal survey on or after 1 April 2023）

c) Ballast Water Management Convention

• Sampling and analysis at commissioning of BWTS (1 June 2022)

[2] Local regulations which enter into force during 2022

We would like to introduce some of local regulations which enter into force during 2022.

a) UK MRV

• Vessel operate between UK ports or between UK and non-EEA ports, is required to collect emission data, submit monitoring plan etc., same as EU-MRV.

b) South Korea ECA

• South Korea Emission Control Area requirement has been started already, but requirement for fuel oil changeover is amended. Effective date is 1 January 2022.

c) China ECA

• Hainan coastal area will be added to Chinese Emission Control Area on 1 January 2022.

d) Panama Canal

• Panama Canal Authority issues Notices to Shipping on 1 January every year, and requirement for vessel, including its facility, may change.

ITF and JNG concluded agreement an increase of seafarer’s wage and compensations of 3% from 1 January 2022.
